HI Community,
In the title really, we've been trying out Power BI locally and don't want to publish just yet to ensure data security.
Moving our concept models are has become a little tricky as data loaded into the pbix file inflate the file size greatly (as you would expect).
Is there a way to unload the data but retain the logic required to pull it in again? In this way I can pass the empty file and they can refresh it on their own pc.
Thanks,
Harry.

Yes. Just go to File->Export-> Export to Template. This will create a file that is less than a meg. You can then give it to someone and as long as the source files are on a network drive and they have access to them, they then can load the data.

Thanks so much!
