Experiencing the error Unexpected Error - could not load model schema while trying to connect the Oracle Data source. I was trying to build a dashboard connecting to the Oracle database, after loading the table, the error appear on my screen . I am trying to build a direct query.
Power BI Version: 2.56.5023.861 64-bit (March 2018) , Oracle Standard Edition One 11.2.0.4.v11

Based on this official article, Oracle version should be 12 or above to use DirectQuery mode.

Thanks very much for the reply Lydia, I assume this might be the reason i get the error "Unexpected Error - could not load model schema " while trying to build a query.
Hi
I have tested again with an Oracle version 12.1.0.2.v10 but I still get the same error. Any helps appreciated. Please note the oracle RDS is in AWS cloud but the VPC made it available within our network. So the oracle instances is more of on-premises data source.
