I have been trying to use PowerBI to connect to our InterSystems Cache Database. I connect, and the navigator shows all my tables, but when I select a table to preview or load, I get this error:

I apologize if this may be the wrong spot. I have already been in contact with Microsoft but have not heard from them in a couple of weeks. Any help or guidance on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated!

InterSystems Cache Database - This looks like a proprietary DB... If that's the case I don't think it would be supported...

If I am mistaken and it is a SQL or other type of DB, what is the version/edition?

The database version we are using is 2010. It does use SQL, though it is a object oriented database technology. I currently am able to use products such as Crystal Reports, and RazorSQL to connect and run queries and reports from our Cache Database.

Below are the explicitly stated supported data sources. Just because you are able to "write" sql against the DB, doesn't mean it is a SQL backend... My guess is that the data source isn't going to work, but I'll include an admin here to correct me if I'm wrong. @MiguelMartinez

I'm trying to connect via an ODBC to Splunk, and am getting the same error.  I can see all the reports, but when I click on one to import or view the data, I get the same error.  Do I need to do something different in my connection?

I get a similar error from time to time, clearing the cache in the options fixes for me.
