Ive come back from holiday and lots of my visuals in a report are now erroring
its a date filter
however when I go to another page and drag the filter into a table visual its fine
Its affecting a lot of reports. Ive tried refreshing but I cant seem to get past it. Is there anything I can do to get this resolved without lots of people having to do alot of work on their reports?
Solved! Go to Solution.
fix it basically removed the filter
to fix I had to go into power Query Editor and refresh. then Everyone who joins to the shared dataset refreshed and had to deleted and readd the filter. It was a date flag in the date table created in the dataflow
No one had done anything to it whilst I was away so although its now working, I have no idea why it happened
I am receivng the "Uanble to obtain the list of item." message when using the Basic filtering option.
I am using the DirectQuery mode to an Oracle database (with 20,000+ record) using the Oracle 19c client.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I cant really show you the underlying code. I know its there because Its in the Query and I can use it.
@DebbieE , as per this one some dependent columns are deleted. Check for measure with a yellow error sign. There should be some.
see if there is any missing column.
Open edit query/data transformation mode and see if there is an error. try to address that.
Ive gone into Power Query editor and refreshed the entire data set and there are no errors and all the flags are there

thanks. I had already gone through these and none of them were specific to what I was seeing
Hi @DebbieE ,
Could you please check with the report creator whether the dataset have any change? For example, some of fields be deleted, the data type of fields be changed or other changes in dataset? Is there any change in underlying data sources? In addition, could you please try to click the button "Fix it" on any of visual with issue and check what will happen?
Best Regards
Rena

Hi @DebbieE ,
Thanks for your feedback. It's so strange that nobody did any operation on the report to get such prompt information. I will continue to investigate later to check if anyone else has the same problem as you. Hope I can find something. . .
Best Regards
Rena
