Trying to create a measure to capture process runtime
Hi,
Im currently trying to create a measure which captures individual entity process run times. The columns has null values fields when an entity process is currently running, therefore meaning I need to use the processstarttime field and doing a datediff on now to get the current runtime for that specific process, which is fine, if false (not null) then i just use a measure i created to capture the process time.
However, this is in a matrix table, so when i am looking at the overarching process, and dont expand down to each entity process individually, it doesnt provide me with the correct runtime. I think this is because im using ISBLANK. so its just taking whatever value it can? where in relatiy i want to still using the earlist process start time is there is a null anywhere and calculate to the now. if its not null then continue to use the measure i created. here is the measure i currently have
Runtime Test 2 = IF(ISBLANK(min('PLogs'[Process Duration Minutes])), DATEDIFF (min('PLogs'[Process Start Timestamp]), NOW(), MINUTE), _Measures[Process time])
