Trouble with the refresh

Hello, since 2 weeks I have a lot of problem when I want to refresh my power BI, before it took me 1 hour and now it takes me 2 hours and I was to see in the task manager and it takes a lot of resource during the refresh and after 2 hours he writes Fail. Do you know why suddenly it takes longer and marks fail? and why it takes so much resource it rises up to 60 GB of ram and it takes 90% of the CPU and when I drop it has 16 GB maximun of RAM it takes it all and it marks FAIL the same, can you me please help.

Hi BrianM ,

How many rows and columns are there in your data source? Are you using 32-bit version of Power bi. If it is,  I recommend you to use 64-bit version to replace 32-bit version.

In addtion, have you build some calculate column or measure in your report. It you have, which function are you using? (Some function contains very complex loop which may consume large amount of RAM).

Regards,

Jimmy Tao

Hi, I have the 64 bit version and yes I have a lot of loop except once compress the file is 600mb only.
