Top 1 visual filter shows different results with Integer/String

Hi, I have a column called Year. Data exists from 2004-2018. Initially it was a number. However, when I used this to filter in a Top 1 visual filter it showed the values for 2017. When I switched it into a text field, it shows the values for 2018. Now I do have a solution but still do not understand why. Also with a number I expected to get the 2018 values. Want to understand this.

Perhaps I need to add the I want to show the revenue (which is another column) on a card always for the actual year. Instead of creating a new measure.
