Hi,
I have a report that was working happily in DirectQuery mode. My backend datasource is MS SQL.
I recently created a DB View as I had to compute some calculations, i.e. Count etc… in SQL. When I added my View to PowerBI, it forced that view to use Import Mode.
As a result, the bottom right corner of my report says Mixed Mode and when I publish my report, the Dataset Refresh is restricted to Daily and Weekly – I have effectively lost 15min, 30 min etc…
I then tried to get my View back into my Report using Direct Query, but it would not have it. When I click the source (DB View), it says: “This step results in a query that is not supported in DirectQuery mode.”
How do I update my data frequently as a consequence? I want to update my dataset every 15 mins.
Please help.
Thank you!

@SachinC I guess when you used import mode you added a step which is not support in directquery mode. Go thru each step and see at which steps it fails to work with direct query and look for alternate for that step.
