Tabular Model Using Field Parameters

Hello,

i want to use Field Parameters on Tabular Model .I created a calculated table like this .

Param_Table= {

     ("Count of Product", NAMEOF([Count of Product]), 0,"Product",1),

    ("Sum Of Product", NAMEOF([Sum of Product]), 1,"Product",1)

}

Then i want to create dynamic table Slicer on Power BI Desktop.

is there any workaround solution about this ?

Hi @aetl1 ,

You can't create parameters in live connection data sources without a local model. However, if you use DirectQuery for Power BI semantic models and Analysis Services, you can add a local model to create field parameters, please try to get data from SSAS with DirectQuery connection mode.

Hello ,

Let me explain . I created a dashboard using excel files as a source  .I used "Field Parameters" in this dashboard for creating dynamic Table with slicer . After completed dashboard i created new Tabular Model Project getting data from DB .Evereything is same (Measures,Column Names,Tables etc.) .So I need to use Field Parameters via  Live Connection Analysis Service.  I recreated all dashboard again from SSAS except Field Parameters part .
