another approach
go to power query. and create a duplicated table of dimdate. ,
and thn add column --> ""
step 3 :
change colum name to a column name of your real table ( example, Name )
now, go to your first table ( real table ) , and append it with the newly created table ,
you will have the following table :
now apply and close,
go to power bi , drag and drop your columns to the table visual .
leave it empty , and select color = color of background ( white )
click done .
this should work .
let me know if this helps .

What do you mean by: "and create a duplicated table of dimdate. "? shall I duplicate my original table?
if you do not have a dimdate table, and you are reading the date from your original table, then yes.
go to power bi , drag and drop your columns to the table visual .
If I duplcate my own table and append it to my original table, which columns shall I drag and drop to the visual? all columns which I use in my visual?
when you duplicate your table in power query,
you need to remove all the columns except date column ( in your case valuation date ),
then you continue the steps mentioned ( as adding new column with empty value )
if you still facing issue, feel free to send the file in private , i would be happy to help you out .
I would be grateful if you can fix it, where shall I send the file? e-mail?
which column shall i apply conditional formating to? Valuation date?
if everythin is done , then you should notice that you have now the data with blank values for all other rows.
so you just need to change the color of evaluation date base on condition . that text = ""
one approach you can use, is matrix ,
output
in the row total, turnoff the totals until you have the space you want .
then, for text total, change to space
lastly, select all, then change color to white or to the table background .
let me know if this helps .
