Table changed to Measure icon

Hi everyone!

 

I don't know how, but a table that a I have in my model changed to an Measure icon.

How can I change this and how could it happen?

If your data source is analysis services then Measures folders will show as "Measure" icon. I think that what it is? I believe your dimensions icon looks like a regular table icon, correct?

In this particular case, for this table, the data source is an Excel document. Yes, the dimensions are shown with the standard table icon.

 

It is really wierd, because when I just started this report, the initial icon was the known table icon, as ussual. Suddenly it changed to a measure icon. I don't really know why.

@Anonymous

 

I guess you import Excel Workbook Content into Power BI Desktop. Since your workbook contains a model already, it supposes to have a similar measure group folder which is displayed with a sigma symbol in Excel.

This folder will appear in a calculator icon in Power BI Desktop.

Hi @v-sihou-msft. Thanks for your reply.

 

The original data source, the Excel document, has only a few columns with data. After imported that data, a table was created with those columns, all under a table icon. After working a lot with the data, adding calculated columns and measures, the original table icon changed by itlself to a measure icon.

Hi @parry2k. No, I do not have a pivot table. This same thing, just happened againt to an other table. I starting to think that maybe it has to do something with the count of mesasures that you have under that table. It's just a guessing.
