Synoptic Panel Maps Field

I'd like to be able to switch between SVG map files using the Maps field in the Synoptic Panel data well.  I can't get it to work.  It won't let me add a measure with SELECTEDVALUE (map path column) and if I try to put the map path column into the Maps field in the data well I get a message that PBI "Can't determine relationships between field".  Can someone explain to me how to use the Maps field or point me towards a tutorial?

Yep, that is the solution I attempt to implement.  By adding a slicer to the page that allows me to select the a value from the Name column and then adding either the MapFile column to the Maps field in the Synoptic Panel data well or adding a measure that is = SELECTEDVALUE(MapFile).  When I add the column I get the "can't determine relationship between fields" error message and it won't even let me drag the measure into the Maps file of the data well.  I haven't been able to find anything that would give me more details on the steps of using such an approach; and I haven't been able to figure out what is wrong on my own.
