Syncing/Sharing Queries Between Reports

I'm using Power BI Desktop to create a report for our management team. The data source is a sharepoint site.

I did a "save as" on my .pbix file, then made some tweaks to create a second report specifically for the executive team.

Back on the original report, I made some updates to the existing queries using Query Power Editor, and added some new measures. I noticed these changes aren't reflected in the second report. Is there a way to sync my Query changes to this report so I don't have to manually recreate them? Is there a way to sync my measures too?

I'm a BI noob, so I'm also aware I may be going about this completely the wrong way. Is there a better method to create two reports than doing two different .pbix files, when I know I want to have them use common queries and measures?

1.How to reuse a query created in Query Editor or Power Query:

You can go to Advanced Editor and copy the applied steps.  Then paste it to the advanced editor of your new report.

2. How to easily copy Measures from one pbix file to another?

You could use Tablular Editor, here are some detailed tutorials:

Hi @BigFella ,

The best option is to create the second report based on PowerBI dataset that way if you update the initial dataset the second PBIX file will get all the updates.
