Hi everyone,
I'm having an issue syncing a new slicer with a regular slicer. New slicers sync fine with other new slicers. However, when I try to sync it with a regular slicer on a different page (with the same field), it doesn't carry over selections.
I know there was an issue with the syncing functionality in new slicers some time ago when it was a preview feature, but are there any updates/fixes since then? Any troubleshooting ideas are much appreciated.
Thank you!

Hi, @irynad
thanks for Idrissshatila's concern about this issue.
I am glad to help you.
In Power BI, the Sync Slicer feature allows you to synchronize Slicer selections between pages. However, the Sync Slicer feature requires that the synchronized Slicers be the same fields and the same visual object type.
Therefore, if you use Slicer visual on one page and Slicer (New) visual on another, they may not be synchronized because they are treated as different visual objects.
That's why the problem you're experiencing occurs: after selecting Slicer(New) on the other page, the Slicer that exists on the regular Slicer page is reset, and the Slicer(New) filters aren't passed over.
I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.
Best Regards,
Fen Ling,

Thank you @v-fenling-msft. I appreciate your detailed response confirming my thoughts on the different visualization types being the reason of this.
By any chance, have you heard of any plans of fixing this behavior in the future?
Many thanks,
Iryna
@irynad ,
try to make the sync on the regular slicer rather than the new one.

That's how it's currently set up:
Hello @irynad ,

I have multiple pages with a set of regular slicers. On the first page, all filters are regular:
On Pages 2-5, one of these is a new slicer (e.g., Country):
When I make a selection in the new slicer and then come back to the first page, the Country slicer is reset:
Same goes the other way around - if I make a selection in a regular slicer, it does not carry over to the new slicer. Here's the sync slicers configuration in place for the Country slicer:
