Sum Function Error

Hi Experts

 

I cannot see my error i am sure that my column is Whole Number in Data Type and Format is Whole Number.... But i keep on getting the following message

The function SUM cannot work with values of type String

 

my measure is

New Column =
DIVIDE(
SampleData[Allocation in Month],
CALCULATE(
SUM(SampleData[Net Amount]),
ALLEXCEPT(SampleData,SampleData[Date] )
)
)

if measure 

 

New meansure=
DIVIDE(
sum(SampleData[Allocation in Month]),
CALCULATE(
SUM(SampleData[Net Amount]),
ALLEXCEPT(SampleData,SampleData[Date] )
)
)

 

Also, make sure Allocation in Month and Net Amount are both numbers
