I have a table for Q1 and Q2 and they both contain a Customer Name (First Name and Last Name) in one column. I combined both these tables and created an Append table (Q1 and Q2) and using the Split column delimiter I was able to split First Name and Last Name. However, when I update or refresh this append table with the next quarter (Q3) data, the Q3 data does not automatically split the Customer Name column. The First Name and Last Name column (created above) for the Q3 data shows "NULL". My question is: Is there a way to make the split the column delimiter work when its refreshed/updated with the new data?? Or we need to do write create the column (using search function) in the query editor? Please Help!

@ontario234 , how you have done that. Ideally, step in Data Transformation and any calculated formula should have repeated it.
In case you are getting more than one file and appending its operation should happen in the appended table.

I did not apply any formula. I just used the split column delimiter option in the append table and when I update this "append" table with the new data, the split column delimiter DOES NOT automatically gets applied to the new data.
Hi @ontario234 ,
As amitchandak's suggestion, you may need to repeat the steps of Splitting once the data structure have been changed after updating data source or other changes to structure.
