Split Table

anshpalash_0-1630288324368.png

Hi,

I want to split this table into two. The table below the row which says "Parameters" should be the second table. The number of IDs in every file is different. So, the row number containing "Parameters" would be different for every file.

Is there any way I can split the above table starting at the row that says "Parameters"? Would really appreciate any help. Thank you!

Hi, @anshpalash ;

You can use the Ashish_Mathur's method, and there is another method you can also try:

1.Transpose table in power query .

2.remove after "Parameters" columns

3.Transpose table

The same method apply second table.

Hi,

Where will the Date and the first 5 rows go?  Please show the expected result very clearly.  Also, share data in a form that can be pasted in an MS Excel file.

all rows above "Parameters" would be a separate table. All rows below "Parameters" will be a separate table.

Will the rows above the Parameter row always be 8?  Also, as requested earlier, share data in a form that can be pasted in an MS Excel file.

No, the number of rows above parameter will not always be 8. That number changes for every file. Here is the data:

Date
27-Aug

IDSale
110
215
325
423
Parameters
1LocationAustin
1TypeVehicle
2LocationIndy
2TypeBoat
3LocationSan Jose
3TypeVehicle
4LocationNY
4TypeBike

Thank you!
