Good morning,
I have a sort by column in data view in desktop and when I reselect the column to try remove this sort by it won't remove. I have also re-selected the sort by on the table visual itself and it also won't remove it.
Any idea how to reset the sort by column so it goes? Definitely missing something obvious here apologies! 🙂

Hi @pigsinblankets -To reset the "Sort by column" setting, you can select the column you wish to revert and then choose another column temporarily as the sort column, before going back to the default sort. If you're struggling with the visual, ensure the column header isn't showing an active sort icon (the little arrow). If all else fails, try reopening Power BI Desktop or your PBIX file.
If you created a custom sort column (e.g., for sorting months by fiscal order), simply remove the column by deleting it or reverting its function in the data model.
In some cases, you might not see a clear "None" option. You can remove the sort by simply selecting the column itself as the "Sort by column" again, or by choosing a different column and then going back to the original column.
Hope the above information helps
