Slicer problems

Hi,

I'm trying to use a slicer for names on my report in the desktop version.  I have a relationship set up with the info table and both data tables on "names."  I used the format of First Name Last Initial with a "." Example, Leah S.  However, when I create a slicer of the names column, it doesn't filter the other graphs just shows blanks.  The other graphs are built using "count" since the data is the string type.  Does anyone know why my slicer isn't working and how to fix it?

Thanks,

Leah

I ended up deleting those three tables from my model and then reloading them back in.  Now the slicers work fine.  Not sure what happened the first time.  Thanks for all of your help!

Here is the relationships in my table.  I tried what you suggested by creating a measure, but when I click on a name in the slicer, the card still shows "Blank" even though I know that staff has some call outs.

I'm trying to make a card that will show how many call outs.  It starts with all of them, but when I apply the name slicer, I want it to go down to just the number of call outs for that staff member.
