Hi Experts,
Need advise. Here is the problem statement
Department is asking for power BI reports and this being on contracting firm need to be one report in pages
Here is the problem
1. Most of the data need only single table
2. but some data need joins with other table.
Data obviously will be wrong if I join
End user wants to see the data and dashboard in a single report in different pages and drill down
Is this possible?
1. Can we join tables dynamically based on the user selection ?
2. Can I use different SQL script to different pages of same report ?
Obviously I am not good in power bi so detailed help is appreciated
@amitchandak Thank you very much. So just want to confirm, so I am not misunderstanding
I can have all the tables in the power BI so user can drill down to and
2 I can join Inactively the tables so the data is not changing because of the join
3. I can have measures which show the result of the join.
If the above is right can I clarify the following
1. What if I drill down the measures, do I see the table which is data from tables joined ?
2. Is Inactive join is supported by any type of JOIN (Inner, Left, right, outer ) ?
Thank you very much once and I appreciate your help.
Regards
@Anonymous , You can have inactive join and you can create measures using userelationship. Switch measures using measure slicer or calculation group
Calculation Groups- Measure Slicer, Measure Header Grouping, Measure to dimension conversion. Complex Table display : https://youtu.be/qMNv67P8Go0
