Show content of URL in tooltip ? (not the link, but the pdf im linking to)

I have a report, where i link to our Sharepont so we can see our expences, and if i click the Link icon i get the PDF in  a new tab in Chrome / edge.. and that is great.

is there any way to make that pdf show up as a tooltip when i mouse over it ?

or Alternative make it open in a new browser all together (and controll the size of that window), and not a new tab, it confuses some users 😞

Your demand is a good idea, while it is not supported to implement in Power BI currently.
You can submit a new idea to improve the Power BI.
It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Currently, I suggest you to create a report page tooltip with image url instead of PDF.

You can add url with preview images of PDF.

@Rygaard , based on what I got.

I doubt pdf as an object is supported on the tooltip. Good idea to have
