I am facing issue while connecting to SharePoint where the windows VM that I am using gives Protocol Violation error. Can someone help with the probable reason for the same?

How did you connect to sharepoint? connector type ? Can you please share some detail operation steps?

BTW, can you confirm you correct configure your sharepoint server and open correspond ports which power bi request?(you can use fiddler to trace httprequest to confirm which port its required)
