SharePoint OData feed Authentication Issue

Hi,

I am hoping someone e can help.

I have a SharePoint Online list that I can successfully connect to using the building in SharePoint List connector. To Authenticate, I am using the “Organisational Account” option

However, I would like to use the OData feed connector instead (I have used the exact same file path as the SharePoint List connector scenario). However, I get an issue authentication.

I have tried all of the options (Anonymous, Basic, Windows and Organisation Account) at all of the different levels  for “Select which level to apply these settings to”

  • Can anyone tell me why it works for the built in SharePoint list connector and not the O Data feed one?
  • Is there also any advice on how to get this working?
  • If I can get it working in the desktop version, will I need to set up this connector In the Power BI Gateway and if so how do I achieve this?

Thanks,

Boycie92

Hi @Boycie92 ,

I think this is due to your OData Feed URL error. Type the OData Feed URL for the SharePoint "http://siteURL/_vti_bin/listdata.svc"
