I'm being told that Power BI has problems pulling in more than 20k SharePoint records.
Does anyone have guidance on this?
Thanks

@BillYoung There is no limit how large data you pull. But if your Power BI report is more than 1 GB, then that will create a problem to publish in Power BI service.

Hi @BillYoung ,
There is no limit on the number of records, what I would like to add is about the limit on the size of the dataset.
For import mode, data is compressed and optimized and then stored to disk by the VertiPaq storage engine. So, it's reasonable to expect that 10 GB of source data can compress to about 1 GB in size.
If you are only using reports in Power BI Desktop, then there is no limit on the PBIX file size.
If you want to upload this PBIX file to Power BI Service, then there is a 1 GB limit per dataset, unless the workspace is in a Power BI Premium capacity. For Premium capacity, different SKUs have different limits. The following table shows the recommended SKUs for .pbix file upload or publish to the Power BI service:
If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.

Thanks Jaipal
Just to confirm, there's no restriction on the number of SharePoint records then, just the size limit you mention?
Cheers
