Send Alert when for multiple values in a table

Hi,
Purpose
I'd like to send an alert/email to specified SalesRep, when their Customers falls below threshold (ie 80%)  for their Products

within the current week

The Data

SalesRepForCustomerEmailAddressParentCustomerParentProductWeekToDate -Bought%
Atest@123.comMr USABeyonce90%
ATest@123.comMr USAFooFighters45%
Btest@123.comMrUKBackstreetBoys60%

note,

  • the data comes from a a facttable billion rows, that show
  • Customer hieachy (parent>child) can buy a Product hiearchy (parent>child)
Customers have a SalesRepOwner with manytoone relationship
  • the measure WeekToDate -Bought%  is a sum of Bought rolled to ParentCustomer & ParentProduct, datebought filetrted for WeekToDate.

Issue
Seems Alerts and scorecards are sent for a single Card value.
As there a 100s combinations of Customer&Product, I cannot create a card visual for all

Outcome to Acheive!

I need help where I'd like to Alert the corresponding SalesRepEmailAddress,

a table of their ParentCustomers & ParentProduct,

where falls below threshold level. and they should track how close they are meeting a goal threshold.

advise if I am going about this the wrong way and what solution should I be looking at

Hi @tsk2022 ,

Try to set data alerts in the datashboard. Alerts can only be set on tiles pinned from report visuals, and only on gauges, KPIs, and cards.

About more details, please kindly refer to

Set data alerts in the Power BI service - Power BI | Microsoft Docs

Best Regards,

Stephen Tao

@tsk2022

Just a thought, what about, rather than sending alerts on the combinations, you make a report that shows the customer / products that are below the threshold and just send that report to the rep?
This approach assumes there will usually be at least 1 combination you want to inform the rep of.  If there is not you could do a card overlay that says something like "No customer's below the threshold!"

Sending the report would be fine!

  • is there a way I can specify the SalesRep to send to? there may be 1or2 on the table list , rather than send to All SalesRep

  • can the report be highlight if condition is met?
id like to nudge the SalesRep only when their customer appears on the list, rather than him\her checking the report everyday

  • tried test to trigger powerautomate flow to alert myself..ended up sending like 20,000 emails to myself

  • I would think you could do that using powerautomate but I have not worked with it so I can't say.
  • Yes, you can use conditional formatting to hightlight the rows they need to look at or, you could filter the report to only show the customers they should look at.
  • I don't work with powerautomate but the are a lot of users on the forums that do that might be able to help us out.
