I have a few tables that I need to create relationaships between so that I can build the report that I need to build. I understand the relationships, but one of the tables is very very large. It is so large so it often doesn't refresh (it fails) or it takes over 20 hours to refresh.
What I would like to do is to build a parameter into the query so that it restricts the number of rows it is looking at for the data refresh. However, I need more than 1 or 2 optins, I need to include around 600 different options. I was thinking I might be able to do this by linking the parameter to a field in another table or an excel spreadsheet??
Does anyone know if this kind of use for parameters is possible?
TIA
