Scheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials

Hello,

I'm new to Power BI and I've created a report using Power BI pulling data from Dynamics 365 Business Central and a local excel file.

I've published the report to My WorkSpace and want the report to fetch updated sales data from Dynamics 365 automatically.

But when I go into Data settings, the scheduled refresh is greyed out and shows below error message.

Not sure where to go to update the credentials and which dataset is missing the credentials..

Could anyone please help me?

Yeah, I beleive you will need to install a gateway in order to store the credentials. Follow the steps below:

Install an on-premises data gateway | Microsoft Docs

Hi,

What do you see when you expand the Gateway category? It is likely that is where your issue lies.

Thank you for the answer!  One more quick question, isn't Dynamics online service and a gateway sounds like something you use to access data from local machine, why is a gateway is required to access Dynamics online?

I think that it is needed for your excel file. If it is working now, please mark my response as the solution 😁
