Sankey Chart Customization

Hey all, Im using The Sankey Chart from microsoft  and i want to change the order of nodes but i dont know how. Is it even possible to do so?

Hi @Swilam ,

 

You can create a computed column to assign a sort weight to each node for the purpose of changing the order. You can try formula like below:

NodeSortOrder = 
VAR NodeName = 'Table'[Destination]
RETURN
    SWITCH(
        NodeName,
        "Quotes", 1,
        "Draft", 2,
        "Sent", 3,
        "Closed", 4,
        "Buffer", 5,
        "Invoiced", 6,
        "Paid", 7,
        "Open", 8,
        9 
    )

Hi @Swilam -Sankey visual from Microsoft, the ability to manually reorder nodes is limited. The nodes are typically ordered based on the flow values or the order in which they appear in your data. 

by modifying your data model, adding sorting columns, or exploring custom visuals, you can influence the order of nodes to some extent. If the default Sankey chart doesn’t meet your needs check on custom visual.
