SSAS connection multidimensional error desktop version

Hello everyone!

I try to connect to a cube and I have the following error:

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient, Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91'

I have checked in the assembly and the AdomDClient is there. Version 12.0.0.0 ...

When I try to connect through excel it's working fine. I don't know where to look.

Thanks

John

Just chiming in here for people who couldn't download the ADOMD file from the suggested link, it can be downloaded from the following link as well:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=29065

After clicking the Download button, I had to wait for quite some time, but when it finally loaded (took ages for me) scroll down a bit to Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012 ADOMD.NET and download the version matching your operating system (x86 or x64). Once downloaded, simply install it and it should work.

I just clicked RETRY and it worked!

John, are you using the most recent version of the SSAS connector?
