Hi all,
I have updated the Desktop to the final update as July. I want to use the RLS for my SQL server directquery connection.
I have updated my pbix file to the latest Desktop version and create the roles in Desktop, and finally published it to the Powerbi service.
I do not use PRO service version. , so when I try to display the report. I got error message that PRO subcrsiption is needed.
But in previous version, I could use the RLS in site, when I republish the report, recreating the roles was required.
so Can I use the RLS support in Desktop without PRO subscirption in any way?
Thank you, all comments are appreciated.
Hi @aakgun,
Based on my test, to use RLS feature in Power BI Service, we need Power BI Pro license currently. For this issue, I already reported it internally, will keep you updated if I get any feedback.
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu
