Retaining Visual Filters without using the +CTRL function.

I keep encountering the advice that when one viz is filtered by another and you click a value on the second viz that you need to click +CTRL when you select a value.  Is there a way (setting a variable or the like) to have Power BI retain the filter variable  from the other visual until changes are made on the filtering viz.  Right now when I click a value in the second viz it hides the second viz (the first viz sets a unhide variable).

I need a solution that works for folks with keyboard only and without need the +CTRL option as it will annoy my users.

@TheoC So I found a solution that I can make work in desk top and the Power BI Pro/Premium.  Oddly, I had to set it in desktop, save, publish, reset it in Power BI Pro and retest it.  Even more oddly when I published an embedded  link (public) the functionality disappeared again (no ability to fix it).  This project is going to live in the Power BI Service Workspace for my project, but it's still slightly annoying.  #3 in the article linked below is where I found the solution.

I am not aware of whether there is anything that can achieve what you are after.  However, I am would say that one of the key reasons you want to use the +Ctrl is because if you were able to filter on more than one visual by just a click, and that kept all the filters across many visuals, it would be very challenging and frustrating to have to reverse the filters applied. From my understanding (and I hope I am not misunderstanding your issue), it would mean that with each click they used to filter down to where they are (i.e. could be five layers down or more), the user would then need to replicate what they've done in reverse to "unfilter"... right now, all they do is release the Ctrl button and click on the screen to unfilter everything which seems far more efficient and logical.
