I have in Excel a bar/line combo chart as below. As you can see, the line chart shows only one point as there is 1 data point in the line series vs 4 points in the bar series.
In Power BI, I have data like this:
But, the closest I can get as far as the chart is this:
As you can see, there is a gap between the bars as they share an X axis and there is no bar for the middle date. I know there is no way to do multiple X axis in PBI, but is there a good workaround?
The line chart dot is actually going to be a calculated rolling average value to help you better understand the use case. The customer wants this average to be a dot in the middle of the chart.
@Anonymous Hmmm not sure if there will be always a middle, in your sample example data, you have 4 dates for the bar, and if we have to plot point for line chart based on average, it is going to be on top of one of the data bar data point to avoid that empty space. I hope you understood what I'm trying to say. If the count of bars is an odd number then it can be the middle of the chart but not otherwise.
