Hi,
I have data as shown below.
I haveindicated the result I need to achieve. I need to avoid the repeated column values (actual data as many more columns for a given store with the same data).
Questions:
1] How can I avoid the repeated data for the same store but need to show the Comments in row?
2] When the Store and Comments are the same, Power BI does not show the duplicate rows. How can I show the duplicate rows?
Thanks for any help in advance.
Basically what Greg said was correct, im just adding some more info,
Rather than add comments to the values, you can just add it to the rows on the matrix visual like this
So to get this result you can do follow these steps,
Did anyone find a solution to this? I am looking for a similar solution. I got 5 columns repeating because of the last 2 columns display unique data using multiple rows.
It is not a very user-friendly file to export at the end.
In the matrix visual, go to "Row Header" and set the "Stepped layout" option to "Off"
This is exactly the setting I was looking for
Hmm, maybe a Matrix visualization and a "don't summarize"? Can you post some sample data that can be easily copied instead of images?
Hmm, I think you are going to have to look to see if there is any custom visual that will get you there. I don't think what you want is possible given the default visuals.
Will upload sample data when I get home as office blocks all public upload sites.
Tried to use matrix but was not very successful.
