Hi everbody,
I have two tables which are linked:
Table Accounts: AccountID -> Table Creditors: Account
When I put them side by side in a table it works as expected.
When I add a column from example on the accounts table and combine 2 other columns (so not accountID) and click close and apply then suddenly the link between the table (accountID and account) is gone.
Any thoughts? Bug?
Solved! Go to Solution.
The solution was to capitalize all the values in one column.
In the other table I had to remove the { and } and then it worked again.
Strange that it changed values without any instructions.
Hi @lekkerbek
It seems like that, you are facing problem with the relationship between your tables in Power BI after adding a new column. I suggest few steps to resolve the issue. pls follow below steps.
Still problem not resolved, pls share more details or screenshots of your model and the steps you’re taking. This can provide more context and help in diagnosing the problem more accurately
If you need additional info Pls go through this Relationship troubleshooting guidance - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Before
After
The only difference I can see is that before the data in AccountID was capitalized and after it isn't anymore eventhough I didn't add a step to change it. Could this be the problem and how can I revert it (as it is not a step)?
