Date Slicer: Set Default Range Beyond Current Data / Range Changes Once Published
Hello,
Looking for some help.
We collect records on a daily basis. And have a published report using a date slicer set to 'between' so users can choose the date range. The problem comes when viewing the most recent records; users have to adjust the slicer every time, because the published report only goes up to whatever the latest record was on the day it was published.
Is it possible to either:
A) Set the End Date of the range to a date beyond that of the latest record? or,
B) Set a default (variable) value for the End Date, so it will at least include the latest record by default?
Note that for A I found I can manually enter a date beyond the last record, but it reverts back once I hit publish 😞

Are you using a date table or just the date field from your fact table? If you create a date table that has future dates you should be good to go. SQLBI has a great date ref table: Reference Date Table in DAX and Power BI - SQLBI
