Hey guys!
Since last week, I am having an issue with Power BI Desktop.
I have a file that I used for the last 3 months and every time I updated it would take from 10 to 20 minutes to fresh. However, since last week it has no longer been updateting. There has been no change to the data and other people on the team can update it as usual.
In my Desktop version, I see the number of rows in each table increasing to the final value, but some tables are never updated. These are blank tables (only for measurements) that get stuck in the “creating connection” step.
Has this happened to somebody else? Is there any way to solve this? I figured this started happening after Power BI was automatically updated to the latest version.
Hi @juniorBI ,
You can click Refresh under the Home tab of PBI Desktop, does it report any error messages?

Neeko Tang
Is doesn't. I kept it running for over 8 hours and the refresh still did not complete (for reference, it used to complete in 20 minutes)
The only this that looks different is that some tables seem stuck in "creating connection" while others seems to calculate the amount of rows up to the full number (images below)
The tables that are stuck are blank tables, they have no columns and are used only to store measures
Hi @juniorBI ,
Please try:
1. You can do this by going to File > Options and Settings > Options > Data Load and clicking on "Clear Cache".
2. Ensure that the relationships between your tables are correctly set up. Incorrect relationships can cause issues with data loading and refresh.
3. Check your calculation table for errors and whether it can be simplified. An overly complex calculation may burden the memory and affect the refresh efficiency.

Hello!
1 - I had done this before and I did it again but it did not solve the problem
2 - The relationships are working, they did not change
3 - Most measures are sum of columns ou divisions, I highly doubt this would be the issue. Also, they did not change in the last days
I donwgraded my Power BI version but the problem is still happening.
