Refreshing a data set using Azure Application ID

I have a report which is published out of the Azure log analytics data. I have created an Azure application and granted access to the  Azure log analytics work space.While setting up the data refresh I am trying to use the Azure application SPN but unable to sign in and connect to the log analysitcs workspace, is there a possible way wherein I can use the application id to refresh the data sets.

Thanks for the reply.I had gone through the attach link which is setting up the account , I am looking for setting up Azure SPN.
