Hi,
I have a free account and would like to refresh my data on power bi service. I use excel workbook, which is stored on my computer, then I 've created the model with relations, lots of measures and calculated columns using power bi desktop. I need to share it via power bi service, because the file is to big to send it e.g. via email. As I can see there is no option to update the previous version of the dataset as well as its report and navigation pane. So, the only solution is to delete the previous version and reuploud the new one?
And what will happen if I published to power bi service model which is based on excel stored on sharepoint and created using power bi desktop? Will it refresh on power bi service when I modified excel on sharepoint?

Hi @ginebra,
In your scenario, you can upload the Excel file to SharePoint Online or OneDrive for business, then connect to the Excel file in Power BI Desktop, create reports and publish reports to Power BI Service. This way, you are able to schedule refresh for your dataset without gateway, and you don’t need to re-publish Power BI Desktop when you make changes in Excel file.
For more details about refreshing dataset stored on OneDrive or SharePoint online, please review this article: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-refresh-desktop-file-onedrive/.
