RLS using an Approver Email Column

Hello All!

I have used RLS at a very base level but I am trying to do a step up.

I have a column within my table called "Approver Email", I would like to apply the RLS so the current user could only see the data in which they are the "Approver Email". I don't want to have to enter each person and their respective email.

I tried the following..I have a very similar "Filter" on a Power App that works swimmingly, but getting some errors here.

[Approver Email] = User().Email

Any suggestions? Tips? Helpful videos?

I appreciate the help!!

Hi @kayakingaway

What you want is the dynamic RLS in Power BI. You can use userprincipalname(), which always returns the user in the format of their user principal name, username@contoso.com.

[Approver Email] = userprincipalname()
