Hi Team,
I am starting off on a project, to make reports out of Quickbooks on PowerBI. The QB intui application is on a remote server that is accessed via VPN. Can you outline what are the possible steps and ways to connect. Help would really be appreciated. Any free or paid methods please
Solved! Go to Solution.
You'll either need to install the Power BI Gateway on a machine that has the VPN always on or, if possible, install the Power BI Gateway on the same server as the QB application.
I don't know much about the QB side but I believe there are settings to allow ODBC connections to QB.
Alternatively, a third party option like https://skyvia.com/data-integration/analyze-quickbooksdesktop-with-powerbi or something from CDATA may help.
