I have a table with two columns: Ticket Number and Business Unit.
Ticket number column can have duplicate values with same or different Business Unit.
For example
Row 1 :
Ticket Number: INC12345
Business Unit : ABC
Row 2:
Ticket Number: INC12345
Business Unit : Can be ABC or XYZ
How do i check the following :
For a given ticket number (INC12345) whether business unit has changed (to XYZ) in the other row or is it still the same( ABC) as previous one?
Hi,
It would have been easier to solve if you would have had a Date column. Since you do not have one, this may be a start. Write this calculated column formula
Column = CALCULATE(COUNTROWS(Data),FILTER(Data,Data[Ticket Number]=EARLIER(Data[Ticket Number])&&Data[Busines Unit]<>EARLIER(Data[Busines Unit])))
A number indicates that for that ticket number, the business unit changed x times.
Power BI doesn't know what you mean by "previous row". You need to indicate how the data should be sorted, or you provide an index column.
