Please do not know how the query editor to get a new column with the current date?

What command creates a date?

Hi,

This solution was very helpful. Previously I created a column my table using TODAY() not in the editor. For my current dashboard it makes more sense to make a few ammendments at query editor level. I have a few questons. 

- Why does the Today() function not work when creating a custom column (query editor) but when I add a date column in my table it does ?

- Is query level syntax different to the functions syntax used on the tables / columns ?
