Query Banding

Hi Team,

I am looking for how to define "Query Banding" in Power BI desktop. Query band statements run during connection and helpful for database team to identify the query coming from different reporting tools.

I tried settting the Teradata query band parameter through data source settings. There is a SQL Statement field within Advanced Options in the same dialog box where you enter the Teradata server name. I entered a statement like the following:

SET QUERY_BAND='LoginUser=my_user_1;ProxyUser=my_proxy_user;' FOR SESSION;

When I click on Apply changes, I'm getting the following error message:

"This native database query isn't currently supported."

Is there any other way to use query banding?

I would like to know if it's possible to use QueryBand (TERADATA) on my Power BI reports. I can't find the option.

Is there any update on this? I am also looking at using query bands for my reports which connect to Teradata

its not realted to the question asked.

Query banding is teradata native feature, which can be set on at
1) Session level
2) Transaction level

Setting Query Band allows user to categorize queries running through Power BI.

it is supported in Tableau , Informatica , Microstatergy , Cognos

But I dont think Power BI supports native Query to Teradata
and currently they dont support Query banding as well.

Is it supported on Power BI the query band feature ? Especially when working with Teradata as the Reporting warehouse. Please advise.
