Queries Metadata Error

Hello,

After installing newer version of Power BI desktop, I'm attempting to Upgrade report to remove the enhanced metadata format error banner showing. I'm getting the following error and am not sure where to go to resolve?

Queries Metadata
Failed to save modifications to the server. Error returned: 'The Folder 'Transform File from X' is invalid because the parent folder 'Transform File from X' does not exists in the Model. '.

X is just to hide folder name

@msgilbert , This is smiliar kind of issues after the update that user have faced and has been discuused. (Not same as yours)

You need check for \n  , \" that got added into the scripts.

I fixed it by removing all of the transform queries and then allowing it to upgrade report.

This also worked for me - thank you!!

I haven't faced that error.  But one thing you could try is to start a new query with Combine and Transform to the same content, and then copy the M code from the Advanced Editor and paste into the equivalent lines of the original queries.  Then delete the new ones (no longer needed).

Regards,

Pat
