Publish dashboard and hide the Power query

Hi all,

I want to publish a power bi dashboard with a group of users, but I want to hide the power query part and all the data tables behind. I want only the dashboard to be shared.

Is that possible?

Many thanks for your help !

Hi @Betty888 ,

If you share your report in Power BI Service, pay attention to the settings.

If you check "Allow recipients to build content with the data assosiated with this report", people will be capable see some underlying data. If you keep it unchecked, everything is okay.

One more point to bear in mind. If you share your report to PBI Worskpace with other members. Those members will have access and option to see the data and eventually download a copy. To avoiding this - publish the report to workspace with more restricted access and share report directly from there.

May I ask how can i change settings to publish the report in PBI Desktop with more restricted access? I understand the bit on top when sharing the link of published report with other users, but is there a way to introduce more restrictions in Power BI Desktop before publishing?

Very clear !

Many thanks for your help 🙂
