Hello,
im working the first time with Power BI and I installed Power BI Desktop (July 2017). Im also using the EXASOL Database, so therefor I installed the EXASOL Microsoft Power BI Connector (Beta), which worked.
But now Im using Power BI (October 2017) and I tried to install the EXASOL Connector again but it doesnt work. Is there any solution to install the EXASOL Connector or to continue to use the EXASOL Database?
Thanks
Nika
Hi @yellow_days,
You installed EXASOL Microsoft Power BI Connector (Beta) and it worked fine with July 2017 Power BI desktop version, it should be fine with October 2017 version. Please follow the steps in this vedio, and check it works fine.
Best Regards,
Angelia
Hi @v-huizhn-msft,
first thanks for your reply.
I followed exactly this steps and the problem starts at the point when I have to enable the Custom Connectors.
If I open "Option and settings" -> "Options" I have no Option to click on "Preview features" and to enable "Custom data connector".
Are there any other Steps to enable the Exasol Connector?
best regards,
nika
Hi @yellow_days,
It's weird, please update your desktop to the latest version, I test it in my PBI desktop, it shows correctly as follows.

Angelia
Hi @v-huizhn-msft,
I just deleted it and reinstalled it. I still have the problem.
Are you using Power BI Desktop Optimized for Report Server? Because I do, and if i open "the normal" power bi desktop, i get "Preview features".
Best Regards,
Nika
