Hi,
I think I'm close but I'm lagging... How do you calculate elpased months using PowerQuery?
It can't just merely be extracting the month part of the date. The formula should be able to catch crossovers(to a new year)
for example elapsed months between 1/1(or any day)/2018 and 11/1(or any day)/2017 should be equal to 2 (2 months)
Solved! Go to Solution.
If Date1 > Date2:
12*(Date.Year([Date1])-Date.Year([Date2]))+Date.Month([Date1])-Date.Month([Date2]))
If Date1 > Date2:
12*(Date.Year([Date1])-Date.Year([Date2]))+Date.Month([Date1])-Date.Month([Date2]))
Yes, that worked! thanks.
