Power bi automatically changes data types

Hi,

      In our company we get data from sharepoint, sometimes unexpectedly PowerBi changes data types i.e Date field to text. then our visuals are broken. Could you please let me know what causes this issue and how to fix it.

What's it raw type in datasource? will it work fine if you disable the feature mentioned by lbendlin ?

Teach your developers to disable that setting in Power BI Desktop.

Power BI tries to be helpful but most of the time it generates more work for you.
