Power BI auto refresh for date Filters

I have filters which has the years 2016 and 2017 in it.After selecting year 2016 and i have selected the visual for a month level drill down and without drill up i have selected the year 2017 ,so as a result my visual goes blank.After doing drill up for the year 2016 only i am able to view the 2017 year data for the visual.

Please help me on how to do dynamic drill up when i select the filters

Hi @annaamalaim,

Based on my understanding, you want the visual to automatically drill up to the top level when switching the slicer selection, right? Unfortunately, this is not supported in Power BI. 

You said the visual went blank when you selected the year 2017 without drill up, so, was there any data record under month level in year 2017? Since I could not replicate this scenario, would you please share sample data or share pbix file for further analysis?
