- Anonymous8 years ago
HI Noak,
>>Now I wonder what is the best business strategy to my costumers, should I use Power BI embbeded?
If you want to share contents to customers, 'publish to web' and 'power bi embed' may suitable for your requirement.
Notice:
1. Publish to web feature has limitation on SSAS sources, if your source contains these, this feature will be not available.
2. Since this feature not support security setting, so it also not suitable for datasource which contains sensitive data.
Limitations
Publish to web is supported for the vast majority of data sources and reports in the Power BI service, however, the following are not currently supported or available with Publish to web:
- Reports using row level security.
- Reports using Analysis Services Tablular hosted on premises.
- Reports shared to you directly or through an organizational content pack.
- Reports in a group in which you are not an edit member.
- "R" Visuals are not currently supported in Publish to web reports.
BTW, current share features only works for pro or above license, I think power bi embed may be a good chosen.(you not need to bought pro license for these customers)
For power bi embed, you can take a look at below documents:
Power BI Embedded Documentation
